For all of these juice recipes, it’s good to start by adding a couple of ice cubes and a splash of lemon or lime juice to the collection container to keep the juice as fresh as possible once it comes out of your juicer. You’ll need a good juicer too to get the most out of your pineapples too.

A powerful masticating juicer, like this one I use in my kitchen, chews up and squeezes all of the liquid out of produce, even greens which most standard juicers are pretty poor at extracting juice from. There’s much more juice, much less oxidation and if you’re serious about getting all the health benefits of juicing there’s really no comparison.

Now let’s look at the 3 pineapple juice recipes, some of their health benefits and the best time to drink pineapple juice.

Recipe 1: Beet, Parsley, Cucumber and Pineapple Juice for Beautiful Skin

Pineapple juice is an exceptional source of vitamin C, needed to make collagen, the connective protein that glues your skin cells together and keeps your skin looking firm and young.

Parsley juice is very powerful and a great detoxifier. Parsley is also full of vitamin K, an important nutrient for better skin.

Hydrating cucumber is loaded with the mineral silica, considered the beautifying mineral for its positive effect on skin tone. They also have a cooling effect on the body and may help reduce skin irritation and redness.

Ingredients

  • A quarter of a large pineapple.
  • 1 small or half a large beet.
  • Half a standard size bunch of parsley, usually 4 – 5 branches (parsley is potent so don’t overdo it).
  • Half a large cucumber.

Method

Wash the beet. Unless organic, soak the parsley and cucumber in hot water with a splash of apple cider vinegar to minimize sprays. Remove the parsley and scrub the cucumber with a scrubbing brush to get the wax off.

Start with first the beet in the feeder, then, before you push it all the way through, carefully stuff in the parsley so it’s tightly packed. Follow with the cucumber and pineapple. Mix it all up and drink this juice immediately for beautiful skin.

Bromelain can cause stomach upset and diarrhea and should be avoided if you are allergic to pineapples. It can also increase the effect of blood-thinning medicine.
